EPISODE 1: "Number One"
Meet the team as we check out the Stragglers custom car show, tag along on a cruise with Pukekohe Hot Rod Club, feature a slammed 1949 Buick Super convertible, and introduce the Beach Hop Build - a 59 Pontiac Catalina set for a grand overhaul and give away.
EPISODE 2: "Buckets"
We head to seaside Whangamata for Buckets at the Beach - a show celebrating the Ford T bucket. We ride shotgun for the Wheels Inc Twilight Run. A salt lake race inspired 29 Chevrolet Roadster is the feature car, and the Beach Hop Build investigates the international shipping process.
EPISODE 3: "Kumeu"
Just out of Auckland is Kumeu, home to New Zealand's biggest car show and the crew check out some of the newest rides to hit the scene.
There's an in-depth feature of a highly stylized 37 Ford Coupe, and the 59 Pontiac Catalina is assessed for road worthiness on NZ soil.
EPISODE 4: "Pre 49s"
The Pre 49 Hot Rod Nationals attract the elite early hot rods and international guests. We take a close up look at a 65 Mustang Fastback with the street machine book thrown at it. And we take a look at the art of custom suspension.
EPISODE 5: "Yes...Morrinsville"
In this episode the team heads to the Morrinsville Motorama, a low key event in rural NZ. We feature a show stopping Foose inspired 65 Chevrolet Impala Coupe, and meet up with a club based out of an air force base. And we meet the world renown Steve Levine, 2007 SEMA judge, as he and his team starts prep on the Beach Hop Catalina's candy paint job.
EPISODE 6: "Americarna"
New Zealand's Americarna festival is a recent high profile addition to the rodding scene, attracting much overseas interest and Ridler winning guests.
The feature car is a mega dollar pro touring Camaro, and the final candy coated Pontiac hits the light.
EPISODE 7: "Street Rods"
The beautiful South Island terrain makes for an awesome backdrop to the 2008 Street Rod Nationals, an event packed with driving and fun. A top shelf Plymouth Barracuda gets a thorough going over, and we look at stereo installations for hot rods.
EPISODE 8: "Traditional Rods"
Paint is optional as we check out the Hot Rod Blowout, the flagship event for traditional style hot rods in NZ. We get up close with a very fresh 33 Roadster on it's maiden 800 mile journey. And do the wheels make the Beach Hop Build?
EPISODE 9: "Nostalgia Drags"
It's New Zealand versus Australia in US cars at the popular Nostalgia Drags. This week's feature car used to be a very rough four door 55 Chev. It's now a hugely customized 2 door pro streeter! And we look at how to care for your car.
EPISODE 10: "Beach Hop"
Join the crew at the Beach Hop - the biggest nostalgia festival in the southern hemisphere, where we check out the show stand-outs and give away our overhauled and very slick 1959 Pontiac Catalina. We can't forget our feature car, judged NZ's top hot rod, it's John Reid's super slick 33 Ford Coupe.

EPISODE 1: Road Rodders
In the first episode of the series: Hot Rods take over Tauranga's waterfront, we check out a pro built candy coated 48 Pick Up, sneak a nosey through Tony's rabbit warren full of old Fords, and go for a cruise with the Wanganui Road Rodders.
EPISODE 2: Mopar Madness
There's a double shot of Mopar action this week with the annual Mopar Drags and a killer hemi powerplant wrapped in the baddest bare metal 34 on the planet. And we hit the road for a charity Toy Run and drool over a show stopping Chev Del Ray.
EPISODE 3: Slow and Low
This week the crew check out one mean supercharged Dodge Challenger, relax with the cool folk from the Stragglers car club, and head for a hot rod run where you don't go anywhere. Oh, and there's a crazy Model A fitted with a tank engine that lifts all four wheels off the tarmac - as you do!
EPISODE 4: Hot Rods and Horsepower
We meet a movie star Mustang, hang out with the metal working team from Mike's Auto Body, and we stop in for Pukekohe Hot Rod Clubs Hot Rods and Horsepower show 'n' shine before going for a cruise with a big block Camaro from the shaky city.
EPISODE 5: Super Chevs!
This week we feature Jason's mega horsepower, supercharged Camaro, raid a shed full of Chev powered Fords, check out an Impala built to cruise, and stop by the world famous Kumeu Hot Rod Show.
EPISODE 6: Muscle Car Madness
We head south to take in the iconic Muscle Car Madness show. Now in it's 20th year and showing no signs of slowing, the festival attracts entrants from all over the country for a long weekend of automotive awesomeness complete with bands, burnouts and madness, naturally.
EPISODE 7: Pre 49 Rods
We serve up a very tough pro street Plymouth GTX, check out the workshop of internationally renown rod builder Magoo, get a lesson in power to weight ratio with one savage Cobra, and bring you all the action from the Pre 49 Hot Rod Nationals.
EPISODE 8: Americarna
New Zealand's Americarna festival is so cool we had to dedicate a whole episode to the cause. We're part of the action as nearly one thousand American cars converge on New Plymouth before hitting the road and taking the show on the road to the rest of the region.
EPISODE 9: Beach Hop
The Beach Hop is the biggest nostalgia festival in the southern hemisphere. Every March the small seaside town of Whangamata is invaded by some of the coolest rides on the planet, and it's all in the name of charity. Our cameras are there to capture all the sights and sounds.
EPISODE 10: Old Stuff Going Fast
This week we feature an evil steel 34 Coupe complete with blower and bags, watch Iron Rides transform a Merc into a masterpiece, hit the road in a old Camaro concealing new school muscle, and strap ourselves in for a trip down the quarter mile at the Nostalgia Drags.
EPISODE 11: Black Sand, Bad Rods
We take over the main street of Raglan in the name of horsepower, get up close with one seriously smoothed Chev Delivery, sneak into a southern shed jam packed with iconic muscle, and Tony takes the Mrs' 27 Roadster out for a skid.
EPISODE 12: Bare Bones Hot Rodding
In this episode we run for cover from a hard driven, 600 horsepower, big block Galaxie wrapped in a smooth shell. We knock on the door of Rocket Speed Equipment, New Zealand's home of old school rods built in traditional 50s style, we meet a 90s show stopper turned tarmac terrorist, and experience the Blow Out - a laid back show dripping with hot rod history.
EPISODE 13: Show Time
The cream of New Zealand's show car crop are unveiled at the National Hot Rod Show, and we interrogate the men and women behind the machines. We visit metalwork master Mike Roberts as he shapes a car from scratch, and ride shotgun in Magoo's 'traditional with a twist' Deuce Coupe.
