    Alphabet Animals
(26 x 15 mins)

[Episode Descriptions]

A fascinating, funny and educational series on a variety of wild and domestic animals, Alphabet Animals delights kids preschool and up, as well as their parents and teachers and just about everyone who loves the antics of animals.  You get a close-up look at the energy, quick dance steps, passionate pursuits and intelligent spirit of animals like koalas, horses, cats, turtles, elephants --domestic and wild –and all the other animals that inhabit the alphabet.

Kids will giggle and learn as they watch the animal jump and howl, swing and crawl making funny sounds and silly faces.  Colorful learning sequences are highlighted by viewer interactive questions and answers.  It is so much fun to watch crazy animal antics that no one will believe that they are learning too!

Unique in a universe of videos that focus on boring photographs and preachy text, Alphabet Animals will help kids and their families cozy up to funny little creatures in their own backyards or in neighborhood wild animal parks.  Animation is no substitute for the real thing, so little viewers of Alphabet Animals will actually get to learn about real animals, not just cartoon ones.  This is especially important for kids who live far from zoos or in the inner city.

We explore how animals of all kinds arrived on our shores and where they can be found throughout the country.  We visit locations spanning from the humid Midwest to the dry desert and from secluded silent streams to the sunny swamps of Florida.  We visit our animal stars in their own homes and haunts, eye-to-eye with some of the most beautiful, endearing and interesting creatures on earth.

Today, humans are beginning to use up the territory all these gentle creatures call home.  It’s a familiar refrain to those hooked on wildlife videos: human population growth; excessive land development; demands on wild animals to serve as food; and pollution of land, sea and air.  Plastics and petroleum residues, along with chemical poisons cause sterility, deformities and birth defects.  The animals might not survive if we don’t help.

Fortunately, Alphabet Animals reveals that they still exist, still breed, feed and enjoy the heat of the sun and the freedom to wander much as they have for millions of years.  Today, animals of all kinds have thousands of new friends and guardians.  Rescue organizations and individuals, scattered around the country, but living just a mouse-click away, work tirelessly to keep these beautiful creatures from extinction.
