The Last Supper is the Band Without Borders: refusing to be caged in by the walls of their small Canadian town, the constraints of the mainstream music industry or their own individual limitations. Viewers find themselves emotionally invested in the global and personal struggles of this gang of hard rockers who are hell-bent on making it on their own terms. The band has a goal: to break the world record for most countries toured by a band. Take away a bunch that you could get shot in and you’ve got 100 countries to conquer… more than the Rolling Stones or U2 can boast! The Last Supper’s quest for world exploration will hopefully lead them to world domination, and maybe even unite a few people and cultures along the way by giving independent rock a world stage.
Band Without Borders pulls off what too few of today’s television series can claim: it is a REAL reality show and with it all the best elements of a rockumentary, bloopers and travel programming. Totally unscripted and totally raw, anything can happen and it can happen anywhere as the show is set against the most exotic locales around the planet, from the Great Wall of China or the Arabian desert to the nightclubs of London and Istanbul.
The group has played more than 700 live shows across four continents, and played with acts including Iron Maiden, Joe Cocker, Peter Frampton, Thin Lizzy, Our Lady Peace, Slash’s Snakepit, The Tea Party, Ministry, and Queensryche. They have appeared at numerous famous rock clubs and European festivals including the Milkweg in Amsterdam, House of Blues (New Orleans), the Whiskey-A-Go-Go and Roxy (L.A), Download Festival (UK), and BosPop (NL). Various other international shows include a stadium benefit concert in Turkey in 2000, and dates in Sharm El Sheikh and Cairo, Egypt.
