Imagine being 15 again.

Do you remember the struggle to find yourself in the midst of the noise around you?  Parents telling you either that you weren’t good enough or that you were perfect just the way you were? Yet neither was true. The culture defining you as some research project gone awry and friends calling you to be with them because they hoped you were just like them?  But you weren’t.  Where did you turn to find the courage enough to continue…to survive and conquer the tests of youth to find meaning and purpose?

This 60/90 minute documentary traces the lives of six young people, each with their own story out of control, only to come to a heart at peace.  Their journey through the wilds of the unforgiving Arizona desert becomes a journey into the wilderness of their own hearts.

Their stories of transformation center on the principles of the ancient Anasazi Way. The Anasazi walked in harmony with nature and found it to be a wise teacher.  Nature plays an integral part in teaching these young people a different way out of the darkness to find themselves again. As a result, the Arizona wilderness is treated as another storyteller. The mountain wilderness of Arizona is breathtakingly beautiful yet demanding.  To appreciate its magnificence, you must also abide by its unforgiving natural law.

Music is used through out the film to create a sense of place.  Its haunting sounds speak to our own Spirit and yearning.

FINDING HEARTS AT PEACE provides an intimate look at the struggle for wholeness to find a new way of being.  It will inspire, create hope, and motivate all of us to find our own Hearts At Peace.

Appropriate for general audiences, parents, youth groups and schools.
