| 2000 miles of Mexico's rugged beauty
in the race of a lifetime - in a 1954 Mercury reborn from the scrapheap!
La Carerra Pan Americana draws road-rally enthusiasts from all
over the world to dare the rugged beauty that is Mexico. The grueling
2000-mile course runs from the wild highlands of the Guatemalan
border, north to Nuevo Laredo, across the Rio Grande in Texas.
In 2001, Mike Anderson stepped away from his daily life in Nevada
to race the dream of a lifetime. He and his dedicated team of classic
car enthusiasts scoured junkyards, finding a 1954 Mercury, restoring
the car to racing glory with hours of loving care and elbow grease.
The regal beauty is set to roll home through some of the most picturesque
settings on the planet.
Can her curves take it, and bring Anderson all the way to the finish?
