Hosted by country music star Naomi Judd, “Miracles in Tula” takes viewers on an unforgettable journey to Tula, Mexico, with the volunteer doctors, nurses, and staff of San Diego’s Scripps Mercy Outreach Surgical Team (MOST).
Each year, MOST provides free reconstructive surgeries and procedures for hundreds of children in Mexico. A team of more than 40 physicians, nurses, recovery team members, and translators provides a range of procedures, from the simple repair of cleft lips to complex flap rotations for burn scars. Children with these deformities are often separated from society, and some are even abandoned by their parents.
From crowded conditions to power outages and petty politics, there are challenges to the MOST team along the way, but the benefit for each child’s life is dramatic. The medical procedures provided by MOST all Children to integrate into their communities and live a normal life with hope for the future.
“Miracles in Tula” will lift viewers’ hearts and make them dream about heroic deeds to serve God and humanity.
